First, lets all be honest with ourselves, forrest Gump is a horrible movie. It’s Tom Hanks playing Tom Hanks. Life is not a box of chocolates because chocolate is good and most of life sucks. Take out the music and most people wouldn’t have cared about the movie in the first place. (this is a common theme with all Zemeckis movies). How many people actually know the history of all the scenes he was shoe horned in? This is a movie that was popular because we had less entertainment options back then, like staring blankly at a wall.

Nothing in this movie was good. Remember when that guy was listing off all the different types of shrimp? You only remember it because of how dumb it was. Remember all the references they made to real life things? Isn’t that clever? I blame this movie for the popularity of the big bang theory which is nothing but a half hour commercial. I want to make fun of this movie more but I blocked most of it out.

Jenny is an evil character. Being a hippie certainly helps her with that. She has no interest in Forrest (typing that name makes my head hurt) until she is a single mother with AIDS. He did everything she wanted and she didn’t even tell him that he had a son until it was convenient for her and sprung it on him (a mentally retarded man) in the most dramatic way and only to die of being a whore a month later.

This manipulative crap won best academy award over Shawshank Redemption which proves how meaningless awards are.

I haven’t watched this movie in decades and I refuse to pay for it so if anything is wrong it is the fault of the movie being as bad as a Tim Burton movie.
